Duke grew up just north of Richmond in rural-ish Mechanicsville Virginia.

The youngest of five kids, young Duke’s favorite pastime was make-believe. Batman, Tarzan, Starsky or Hutch, you name it.  For hours, alone in the backyard (or with a friend; he did have a few friends), he could be found fighting crime and saving the world.

Duke did his first play at the age of 14. From the very first day meeting these strange, over sharing, beautiful nut jobs, he knew he was all in!

An award-winning actor, Duke has appeared in films, television and theatres across the country.  His major television credits include roles in Mindhunter (Netflix, David Fincher), FBI: Most Wanted (CBS, Rose Troche), Hostages with Toni Collette (CBS, Henry Bronchtein), Forever (ABC, John F. Showalter) and Sally Hemings with Sam Neill (CBS, Charles Haid) as Jack Epps.

An accomplished theatre actor, Duke starred alongside Kerry Butler in the acclaimed Off-Broadway production of Clinton (dir: Dan Knechtges).  He starred as George Bailey in numerous productions of Its A Wonderful Life around the country (Goodspeed, Westchester Bway, Orlando Shakespeare).  Some of his  favorites roles include Fun Home (Virginia Rep), Maytag Virgin (Florida Rep) Ace (Signature, Old Globe), Rabbit Hole (Cadence), Doubt (West Va Public), and Next to Normal (Virginia Rep/ Cadence).

He has been seen in numerous national commercials for such brands as American Express, Heineken, Kettle Chips, and Time Warner.

Duke has received multiple Best Actor Awards and nominations from The Richmond Times-Dispatch and Theatre Critics Circle.
